Reliability & Validity

RELIABLITY: BRC tests (IntegNeuro™) are available in 18 different parallel versions and multiple languages (English, Dutch, German, Spanish & Hebrew) permiting an extrordinary number of retests without the influence of practice effects.

In a study specifically aimed at assessing the reliability of Brain Resource Company assessments, the results showed that across both QEEG and ERP measures, there were no significant changes from session 1 to session 2. Similarly, neuropsychological measures (IntegNeuro) were also stable across the 4 week repeat period. These data can be downloaded HERE (select save and then open from saved location).

Reliability and valdity of IntegNeuro have also been published in the International Journal of Neuroscience. This article can be downloaded here.

VALIDITY: BRC's neuropsychological tests have been validated against "gold standard tests" in the published literature and been found to correlate well. BRC's assessment protocols have been subjected to rigorous reliability and validity investigations.

The cognitive profiling results demonstrate that IntegNeuro's psychometric battery provides a highly valid method to assess individual differences and changes in cognitive function. There were strong correlations with standard paper-and-pencil measures as well as the expected differentiation of younger and older individuals. The following table shows correlations between IntegNeuro measures and the paper-and-pencil tasks for all participants.

Reliability and valdity of IntegNeuro have also been published in the International Journal of Neuroscience. This article can be downloaded here. Further reliability and validity data can be downloaded HERE (select 'SAVE' and then open document).

The robust reliability and validity results highlight the solidness of each element of BRC's methodology - but with the additional advantage that all the elements are brought together in the same subjects, rather than undertaken in isolation.
